I've always had a passion for welding, fabrication, motorsports and agriculture. I've progressed through my career working as a welder, quality inspector and manager on many levels in offices and project sites all over Ontario. In doing so, I've fostered a greater appreciation for the rural lifestyle, the outdoors, the freedom and the grit and determination it takes to succeed in agriculture. I'm excited to be founding a team of like minded individuals driven by the smell of burning fuel, progress, and a better life for our families with agriculture at the core.
Hey, my name is Craig Scarrow. I’ve been a service tech at a John Deere dealer for 13 years. I am a licensed agriculture technician and went through the John Deere Ag Tech program at Fanshaw College. I grew up on a dairy farm just outside of Chatsworth, Ontario. I was excited to have the opportunity to expand my experience when I was approached to join the Iron AG & Heavy Equipment team as an owner operator. I look forward to serving my community to help all farmers in Grey and Bruce counties!

I grew up working on a hobby farm with my family and was mostly self-taught on how to fix farm equipment and maintain personal vehicles with the bare minimum. Farm equipment has always caught my interest, so I decided to apply to a local John Deere dealership as a mechanic. After 7 years and successfully becoming a licensed agricultural equipment technician (specialist in JD equipment) I came across this opportunity to join a team of great individuals with similar backgrounds and interests to start up Iron Ag & Heavy Equipment! With this opportunity, I am hoping to make a good name for the business and help people stay happy and in the fields or commercial businesses with minimal downtime.
I've been wrenching on vehicles and the odd piece of equipment since I was young at our family-owned wrecking yard. Since then, my childhood passion has grown into a fulfilling career of operating and fixing heavy trucks and equipment. When this opportunity came up to join the Iron Ag Team, I thought it was time for the next adventure in building something new.

Growing up on a farm and operating equipment has been a passion of mine since I was old enough to reach the clutch. As any operator would know, the great sense of accomplishment experienced when getting the job done can quickly evaporate when something breaks and you’ve got downtime during a busy day. This is why I joined the Iron Ag & Heavy Equipment Team. I’ve worked in the equipment industry for 4 years and have experienced the difference good service can make for customers. I also want to ensure the strong service legacy of Ag-Tech continues and there is always a reliable option for local operators.
Same Roots, New Chapter
In May 2025, we picked up where Stuart Gingrich left off — taking over the tools, the trucks, and the trust he built through Ag-Tech Service. Stuart’s sticking around to help make the transition smooth, and we’re thankful to have him in our corner as we get rolling.
We’re starting out with two fully equipped mobile units and the same commitment to solid work, fair pricing, and keeping you up and running. Hydraulic hose and fittings will still be available at the old Ag-Tech location until our new shop opens in 2026 — and in the meantime, we’re working on securing a temporary space to help bridge the gap.
We know how much Stuart meant to his customers, and we’re proud to carry on what he built — continuing those relationships, doing good work, and growing alongside the folks we serve.
